On November 7th, in lieu of displaying or selling drawings, paintings and other artworks, I will use my space in the group show at Rare Gallery to give away “re-branded” copies of Lewis Hyde’s “The Gift.” These 99 copies were purchased from local, used, and independent retailers, given a fresh coat of paint, and are offered as a gift to all those who attend.
This effort will be the first in a chain of gift actions, continued at my solo show in April, where I will give my work away en masse.
This website will serve as a living document for the project.
