Beginning February 4th, interested parties may seek out vouchers to reserve a work. This process is intentionally mysterious–but here’s some clues:
Nic*Rad will have a limited number of reserve voucher’s available: these tickets will reserve your piece (for a limited time) on the opening night: April 29th. Some works will be left ‘free for all,’ so the night of the show will still give you a chance to acquire a work.
Chasing the artist down is your best bet.
On Feb 4th, Rad will begin using his currently inactive FourSquare account.
If you find him nearby, say hello, ask him to reserve a painting. He’s nice. He’d like to talk to you about gift economies, your internet life, and digital tendencies. Tell him who your favorite “internet person” is. Or why you’d like a painting. That sort of thing. All reasons are valid.
You can also try to track him down and message him via Twitter @NicRad
Find him via email, at his blog, or at his facebook page.
Reserving a specific work
Set up a studio visit– or make a choice from one of the jpgs, or the lists of subjects floating around. More will be released as the event draws near.
These 99 portraits will be hanging out in the artist’s Williamsburg studio until the night of the show.
Preference given in order or response.
